GOLF & SHOOTING QUESTIONS
You will receive additional information via email leading up to the event. If you have not received any instructions please check your spam filter or email us at info@ndgovernorscup.org.
Please get in touch with our logistics team as soon as you can so we can make note of your change in plans. You may contact our team at info@ndgovernorscup.org or call 701-877-4386. No refunds will be available and no transfers will be allowed after July 14th.
The deadline to register your team members was July 10th. Please contact info@ndgovernorscup.org with questions or to make changes to your team information.
No social tickets will be available at the doors. We are limited to only 60 social tickets. Please email us at info@ndgovernorscup.org to inquire about additional tickets.
The last day to purchase additional tickets/registrations was Monday, July 14.
Yes – during the receptions and during the experiences, transportation will run free of charge to all attendees. More information including the schedule, pickup locations, and more is coming soon.
Other options for the event include self-transportation or ride-share services like Lyft and Uber.
Yes, both Pheasant Country and Bully Pulpit will have rental clubs available at your own expense. You will need to call the clubhouse to arrange this on your own so that you get your preferred clubs. Calling before arrival will help create a smooth experience for attendees.
We will match teams up to encourage professional networking and based on number of spots remaining, unless otherwise requested. All teams will be assigned and provided the morning of the golf tournament at each course. If you need to know in advance, you may email us at info@ndgovernorscup.org and we can share your individual team with you.

The Golf Tournament will be a 4-person scramble tournament. Each golfer will receive (1) mulligan for the round (4 total per team).
Players will compete for special games like Longest Drive (hole 7 – Hawktree; hole 17 – Prairie West), Longest Putt (hole 16 – Hawktree; hole 12 – Prairie West) and Closest to the Pin (hole 17- Hawktree ;hole 4 – Prairie West). A player can only win a game once.
Players will play from the following tees:
- Men: TBD

- Masters (65+): TBD

Yes, our professional team will provide any necessary personal protection equipment required for safety, firearms, and ammunition.
Most of the activities will take place outdoors. We have plenty of shade and the indoor club is nearby should you need a place to cool off.
As far as equipment, nothing. Our professional team will supply you with all necessary equipment including the gun, bullets, ear protection, etc. We’ll also have additional refreshments and amenities such as sunscreen and bug spray.
Yes, our professional staff will assist you with the placement of your gun and other shooting equipment and secure it safely as needed.

Prizes will be awarded for the best players at each experience.
Golf prizes will be awarded to the Top 3 teams with the lowest gross score, as well as prizes for the Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Putt. Prizes include:

Prizes at the shooting experience will be awarded to the Top Overall Shooter. Prizes include:

Dress comfortable for the temperature on Tuesday as most of the activities take place outdoors. Golf at Bully Pulpit Golf Club and Pheasant Country Golf Club requires participants to wear a collared shirt (polos). Closed toed shoes are required for the Shooting experience and pants are recommended but not required.
SOCIAL RECEPTIONS & MORE
A social only ticket includes your attendance for both receptions on Monday and Tuesday.
Social attendees will receive their name badges and more information at the Welcome Reception check-in table on Monday, July 27.
All social events are casual (shorts OK).

Attendees with allergy concerns should notify the team at North Dakota’s Governors Cup prior to the event to ensure a positive experience. Email the team at info@ndgovernorscup.org if you would like to request a vegetarian or vegan option for your meal.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The North Dakota Governors’ Cup supports efforts to grow educational and workforce grants in the state of North Dakota. A donation check will be presented at the banquet on Tuesday, July 28. This event is not a political fundraiser.
Any funds collected for the event are controlled by The North Dakota Governors’ Cup. The North Dakota Governors’ Cup is currently in the process of completing an application for 501(c)(3) exemption. Once it’s been completed, sponsors will receive an updated W-9 form.

The North Dakota Governors’ Cup raises funds for the ND Career Builders Scholarship & Loan Repayment Program — helping qualified workers build their futures right here in North Dakota. Proceeds from the Governors’ Cup event go directly toward this mission, supporting our state’s efforts to grow, attract, and retain talent.
The North Dakota Governors’ Cup will never share any information provided. All information is collected to ensure quality communication leading up to, during, and following the event.

Attendees can compete in the golf tournament at Bully Pulpit or Pheasant Country OR the sporting clays tournament meals, entertainment and more.
It does not include your travel or hotel accommodations.
Registration for The North Dakota Governors’ Cup is completed online via the registration form, following the completion of your sponsorship.
Attendees will check-in on Monday, July 27 at each hotel. Registering and booking a hotel prior to attending the event will allow for a seamless experience.
Attendees will receive welcome bags and all other event information upon arrival to their Tuesday experience. Participants who have social-only tickets will receive their bags during the Welcome Reception.
Guests are responsible for booking their own rooms in Medora with our preferred hotels from The North Dakota Governors’ Cup held blocks. Learn more about lodging here.
The North Dakota Governors’ Cup has the following refund policy for sponsorships:
- 100% refund until June 1
- 50% refund after June 1
- No refunds after July 10
You should book your hotel for the event as soon as possible. There are no longer hotel room blocks, but we recommend calling North Dakota’s Governors Cup partner hotels. Learn more about lodging here.
In compliance with North Dakota Ethics Commission rules, public officials may attend the event if they pay fair market value (FMV). Learn more about Public Officials attending here.
