Each sponsor team can allocate its included registrations between three activities on Tuesday, July 29:
Golf at Hawktree Golf Course OR Prairie West Golf Club (rental clubs available)
Sporting Clays at Capital City Sporting Clays (Gear included; instruction optional)
Social Experience in Bismarck (NEW FOR 2025)
- Hosted by Bismarck-Mandan Chamber EDC President Brenda Nagel, enjoy breakfast at Mandan’s Copper Dog and lunch at Peacock Alley, some of the region’s best restaurants. Plus, attendees receive a private tour of the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum.

Monday, July 28: Welcome Reception powered by Google
ND State Capitol Grounds • Bismarck, ND
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Opening Reception Begins in Rough Rider Hall of Fame, inside State Capitol Building
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Dinner in Memorial Hall, inside the State Capitol Building
- Guests will proceed to the Memorial Hall on the second level of the building. Dinner is heavy appetizers from local caterers: Laughing Sun Brewing, Huckleberry House, and Anima Cucina. Bars will be hosted with beer, wine, and custom cocktails.
8:00 PM – 8:30 PM: Program
- Hear from the event Co-Chairs, Governor Kelly Armstrong delivers a keynote address, and more.
8:30 – 9:00 PM: Post-Event Social & Entertainment in Memorial Hall and 18th Floor Observation Deck
- Hazen, ND’s own, Tigrilily Gold performs a private acoustic set for Governors’ Cup guests. Guests can proceed to the top floor Observation Deck for a special workforce-themed speakeasy experience. Get ready for a grand finale to end the first night.
9:00 – 10:20 PM: Community Concert & Drone Show on front Capitol steps and Capitol Mall
- The community is invited to a free community concert from Tigirlily Gold, and Bismarck’s first-ever drone show, which will light up the sky featuring breathtaking imagery that represents the state’s most influential icons. Governors’ Cup guests can watch exclusively from the front steps of the Capitol Building.

Tuesday, July 29
Golf Tournament powered by Sanford Health
- 8 AM: Players Arrive, Breakfast is available
- 9 AM: Tournaments Start
- Hawktree Golf Course & Prairie West Golf Club (Bismarck and Mandan)
- Attire: Golf attire required (e.g., collared shirt, shorts or golf pants, hat)
- 12 PM: Lunch
- 3 PM: Tournament Ends
Clay Shootout powered by Devon Energy
- 8 AM: Players Arrive, Breakfast is available
- 9:30 AM: Tournaments Start
- Capital City Sporting Clays (12945 71st Ave. NE, Bismarck)
- Attire: Clay shooting attire (e.g., pants recommended, but not required)
- Beginners will practice at the 5-stand and Skeet stations. Experienced shooters will compete in a practice round on the course.
- 11:30 AM: Lunch
- 12:30 PM: Competition Tournament Begins on the Course
- 3:30 PM: Tournament Ends
Social Experience
Hosted by Bismarck-Mandan Chamber EDC President Brenda Nagel, enjoy breakfast and lunch at some of the region’s best restaurants. Plus, attendees receive a private tour of the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum.
Transportation for the entire tour is complimentary. Guests are welcome to take advantage of the shuttle and are asked to park in the newly renovated Bismarck Depot parking lot. The parking lot is across the street from Peacock Alley, making for easy departure following the experience.

Closing Reception powered by Chord Energy at Bismarck State College’s new Polytechnic Building

- Polytechnic Building, SW of the MDU Resources Community Bowl, next to the Robert A. Kuntz Physical Plant Building (Edwards Ave., Bismarck)
- Attire: Business Summer (e.g., sport coat, dressy casual)
- 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: Dinner & Program

- The program will include recognition and prizes for Tuesday morning’s activities, final announcements, closing remarks, and a check presentation to the ND Career Builders Scholarship & Loan Repayment Program. Stay till the end for an important announcement from a special guest.

How many attendees does our sponsorship level include?
Each sponsorship level includes a set number of full registrations. These registrations grant access to Monday’s Welcome Reception, Tuesday’s selected daytime experience (Golf or Sporting Clays), and the Tuesday evening Closing Reception. Note: Title, Premier and Gold sponsors also receive invitations to the Private Reception with Governor Armstrong on Monday at the Governor’s Residence.
Can we split our attendee spots between golf and clays?
Yes. You are free to divide your included registrations between golf at Hawktree or Prairie West and sporting clays at Capital City Sporting Clays. Most sponsors opt for a split of golfers and shooters, but you can allocate however best fits your team’s interests.
Can we change our submitted attendees or activities later?
Yes. Simply email your updates to info@ndgovernorscup.org or reply to your submission confirmation. Changes are accepted through July 10. After that, we cannot guarantee a swap can be made.
Can I add more attendees beyond our sponsor allotment?
A very limited number of additional experience spots may be available. Please contact our team directly at info@ndgovernorscup.org for pricing and availability.
What are the dates and key events I should plan for?

Tuesday, July 29
9:00 AM–2:00 PM: Golf, Shooting, or Social Activities
5:30–10:00 PM: Closing Reception at Bismarck State College
What’s the dress code for each event?
Business Casual or Business Summer (sport coat/dressy blouse encouraged). For the experiences, comfortable outdoor attire (no denim at golf courses, collared shirt required, pants recommended for shooting clays)
Will meals be provided?
Yes. Your experience includes hosted hors d’oeuvres and cocktails on Monday night, breakfast and lunch at your Tuesday activity, and an elegant buffet-style dinner with local selections Tuesday evening.
Is alcohol served at the events?
Yes. Bartenders will serve local beer, wine, and curated cocktails during Monday and Tuesday evening events. Please drink responsibly.
Are spouses or guests allowed to attend?
At this time, spouses or guests are not permitted. All participants must be registered in advance.
Where do I park for each event?
Welcome Reception: West/Legislative Parking Lot
Golf Courses: On-site parking at Hawktree and Prairie West
Shooting: Lot adjacent to Capital City Sporting Clays
Closing Reception: In shared parking lot with BSC National Energy Excellence Building
Is transportation provided between venues?
Shuttle transportation will be available for attendees on both days. Please indicate in your team form if your team plans to use it.
What’s the nearest airport and hotel?
Fly into Bismarck Airport (BIS). Preferred lodging blocks are available at a variety of host hotels. Book early — rooms fill quickly in July.
Can I get a letter stating sponsorship value for compliance?
Yes. Please email info@ndgovernorscup.org with your company name and level, and we’ll provide a value summary for your records.
Where do I submit attendee names and preferences?
Use the Team Info Form linked at the top of your Sponsor Dashboard or in your welcome email. You can enter names, assign activities, and share dietary needs — all in one place.
I submitted the form — can I review or edit it?
Yes. When you complete the form, you’ll receive a confirmation email. You can either reply with changes or resubmit your team form using the same link before July 10.
